The median is £52/kg; 10% cost less than £40/kg, 10% more than £80/kg (n = 390 coffees with a price).
Most of them come from Brazil, Ethiopia and Colombia.

Natural is the oldest way to process coffee: the whole cherry dries for several weeks in the sun, on patios or raised beds, and only then is the bean hulled out of the hard, dried husk. Because the fruit stays on the bean for so long, roasters often describe naturals as fruity, sweet and full-bodied, with berries, tropical fruit or a winey note. The method needs little water but a lot of care: the cherries have to be turned and sorted regularly, or the coffee can taste fermented.

Natural means the coffee cherry is dried whole, with its skin and fruit still on. Only once it is hard and dark is the bean hulled out. You will also see it called dry process, dry-processed or sun-dried. Natural describes how the coffee was processed, not that anything was added – coffees with added flavours are labelled infused.
